We’re now on the fourth instalment of Woman We Love here on the blog and if you haven’t figured out the common denominator among the last three amazing women I got to write about, you should check them out through the links at the bottom of this blog post. I’ve had the privilege of bonding with the girls of Encantadia 2016 and got to know each of them on a more personal level.
This week is all about Glaiza de Castro, aka Sang’gre Pirena on the upcoming re-make of GMA Network’s Encantadia.

The past two weeks, I took Gabbi Garcia and Sanya Lopez out for a different challenge each and they both got to try something they haven’t done before. If you haven’t caught up with the “Woman We Love” series I’ve started here on the blog, check out the articles I wrote featuring Gabbi and Sanya.
This week is all about my bonding session with Kylie Padilla, and how WE both got to try something new. Continue reading Woman We Love: Rowing with Kylie Padilla
Just last week, I published the first instalment of a series of posts featuring beautiful women who spark inspiration. We started out with Gabbi Garcia who nailed the NT Sweat Sesh we did together. If you weren’t able to catch that one, you can read it here.
This week, we’re focusing on Sanya Lopez, who tried her first yoga class with me. Sanya didn’t know what to expect but ended up feeling ecstatic when she started to break some serious sweat during our class. Continue reading Woman We Love: Yoga with Sanya Lopez
I love surrounding myself with real women who truly inspire others. Who doesn’t? And you’ve probably heard of the saying strong women lift others up, not bring them down. And that’s exactly what pushed me to start this four-part series (four-part for now!).
Over the next four weeks, we’ll be taking a closer look at four ladies you might only often see on television. We’re stripping them off of their characters and roles to, hopefully, get to know them a little better as real people. All gorgeous, all with great personalities, I love that we finally get to look past their artista image and just get to see them sweat and talk about other things they are into right now. Continue reading Woman We Love: NT Sweat with Gabbi Garcia
If you’ve read my feature on Polarity Physiotherapy Center, you probably know that I’m on the lookout for hidden (health & fitness) gems all over the Metro. It’s a bug that bit foodies a few years back, sending them on a hunt for great places to dine in less commercial areas. It’s the same one that got fitness enthusiasts shaking their routines up and constantly trying what’s new…or is that just me?

Remember that huge bouncy ball in your living room which you sort of used to work out with? The stability ball has either served you well or is currently collecting dust (or probably even deflated by now). I got to play with one again last night and came up with a few moves that’s sure to challenge your core stability and build overall strength. Over a month ago, I woke up with a tiny throbbing sensation at the back of my left thigh, right below the bum. “Must’ve pulled something”, I thought. I knew for sure that it wasn’t the belly of my hamstring muscle (hamstrings are located at the back of your thigh are responsible for actions such as bending the knee and extending your leg backwards) I shrugged it off thinking it would eventually go away. I thought I’d just avoid stretching it and it would eventually heal. I like trying to “fix” things myself first before asking for help so I rested and practiced Yin yoga (passive stretches). While those things helped ease the pain that manifested each time I’d go into a deep stretch (such as a split with the left leg extended in front), I’d feel it every now and then signalling that it hasn’t really healed after all. A couple of weeks before this month began, I found myself in a slump. It was the lowest I’ve felt in a long time and I felt frustrated when, after sitting in silence for hours, I still couldn’t shut out all the noise in my head. Don’t get me wrong, I couldn’t really meditate for hours. It was sort of a purging I like to practice, just letting all the ideas run through my head without my notebook to take notes and taking the risk of bidding what could be a few good ideas goodbye. Continue reading Whole Again: Slowing Down at the IASIS Health & Wholeness Center
The past few weeks I have been practicing or working out, I found myself not being able to play any music because I’d be in the gym where I train one of my clients or at a studio sharing the space with someone else. I’ve also been bothered by the cable on my earphones when I would go out for a run but I couldn’t let go of my music. It’s what keeps me going no matter how tough my workout gets. So I finally went on a hunt for a pair of wireless earphones that wouldn’t hurt my pocket.
